Nursing Home Lays Off Entire Staff

A longterm care facility is laying off its entire staff by the end of November.

More than 100 employees are being laid off from long-term rehabilitation facility and nurinsg home Mount Saint Vincent Care Center in Holyoke.

On Friday, Sept. 18, Mount Saint Vincent officials notified the state that by mid-November it will have laid off 106 employees.

The 125-bed health care facility has been purchased by iCare Health Network, which plans to rehire some current employees, according to MassLive. The facility had previously been owned by Trinity Health of New England.
